I’m very pleased with the PetSafe 5-Meal Electronic Feeder. It’s dependable and easy to use. I do wish PetSafe included printed instructions with the feeder – the instructions are on the feeder but the print is too small for me, I had to go to the PetSafe web site and download a . pdf .

I used this feeder for wet food. I had to go away for 4 days. My pet sitter wasn’t available. Any way, I set my cat up with a lot of dry food in case it didn’t work. I set the item on top of dry ice so the wet food wouldn’t spoil. It seemed to work. I wish they would come out with a feeder that was refrigerated. My cat is old and doesn’t eat dry cat food very well. So a refrigerated electronic feeder would be wonderful.

Doesn’t work for me at all. It will not cycle more than a centimeter at a time. I reset, changed batteries, reset, reset, reprogrammed, etc. After hours of fooling with it, I’ve given up.

I bought this product for my Bulldog puppy -4 months- and I think this feeder is an excellent idea when you have to go out and your puppy need to be feeded several times during the day. Now my puppy recognized inmediately the sound when it is. . . eat time.
The feeder is very easy to set, so easy to clean and the plastic seems to be durable, mostly when my dog stands over it.
I do really recommended this product for a small or medium dog, because the dishes – 1 cup and a half – probably would be smaller for a big dog. .

I liked the premise of the item and it was highly reviewed so I decided to order it. It was easy enough to set up, although it is stupid the instructions are glued inside the lid. What’s wrong with the good ol’ fashioned booklet? I set it up and my dog understood what was up and then I went to work. I came home and it was in the middle of the dining room and you could see where she had scratched at it and tried to chew away the plastic. It didn’t look like she managed to get the food because there was only one empty container showing. Well, I opened it up and I had filled the carousel and it was completely empty. My dog is not that wild either, never has really destroyed anything of value. So, to sum it up, she was able to tip it over or shake it out or something and it wasn’t durable or tip-proof as described so I returned it.
